About a month ago we went on a massive expedition, driving over 1000km in 2 days, all in the name of going to see a gig.
The gig in question was the WIREDLAB open day, featuring music by Alan Lamb, Oren Ombarchi, Gary Bradbury, Dave Noyze and Robin Fox (pictured).

Alan Lamb sets up these huge wires stretched across hillsides, and records motion in the wires set up by the movement of air, raindrops, insects, and sometimes injects motion into the wire by various oscillatory devices. Hearing them firsthand was a pretty amazing experience. More to come.
